I Spy Banksy

After my English final, a decided to go on a Banksy hunt! I was determined to find at least ONE and I finally did! It's in the most unexpected place located off Regent street on Burton Lane. The closet tube is Oxford Circus.  No matter what city I'm in, street art always grabs my attention. Sure some of its crap but the others are pure talent. Its independent art without a price tag and that's how art should be.. :)

Ben Howard

Today is my official need to cram for finals day. Thankfully, my parents sent me yummy girl scout cookies and chocolate to get me through the week! Along with sweets, I've been listening to my latest favorite study artist, Ben Howard! Buy his newest CD "Every Kingdom" on iTunes and you won't be disappointed! Love him and his soothing music!

Today my roommates and I went to the Getty Museum near Oxford Circus to see the new Marilyn Monroe exhibit... It was so neat! It showcased black and white photography and some of her infamous outfits! Sadly, the white dress she was known for was not there. Still, it's worthwhile going to check it out because it is FREE! Besides, who doesn't love the beautiful Marilyn Monroe?

Farwell Trendstop.com!

Today was my last day at Trendstop.com and it was one of those moment you actually can't believe is happening. I was given the most beautiful flowers and a card... Then it all hit me. This is my last week in London, a place I've been calling home since January. I'm sad to see this adventure of a lifetime coming to end but so excited to see what happens next. I'm full of mixed emotions at this point. I've met the most wonderful people through my internship and couldn't have asked for a better placement. It's been full of funny moments and experiences. As they say, as one chapter closes.. another opens.

So Much To Do, So Little Time

As the time is getting closer to my homecoming, things are extremely hectic in London! Sorry for the lack of blogs posts lately but between finals, interning, and pre-packing there isn't enough time in the day. Ten days from today I will be landing in Wisconsin and couldn't be more excited to see my family and friends! It's been the experience of a lifetime but it is time for a break. Here's some brief updates I've missed this past week.

Last week was jammed packed with PR events and homework assignments that seemed to never end. I went to the Fred Perry and Halpern PR events which are becoming less exciting. Fred Perry has a British preppy look and reminds me of a cheap version of Ralph Lauren. It's an extremely popular brand in the UK for menswear and it's noticeable iconic piece is the over shoulder bag with a little Fred Perry logo in the corner. As for womenswear,  it's very limiting and boring. Halpern PR was exciting because it showcases the upcoming F/W collections of Ugg, Milly, Triumph, and Tiffany&Co. They were offering all attendes a manicure but I had to leave for class so didn't get the chance. It's really interesting the types of freebies these places offer. Some of my favorites have been, vitamin C tablets, AVON eye liner, and a tub of yogurt (don't ask.)

After the chaotic week ended, the girls and I went to Brighton, England for the day. It's about 50 minutes outside of the city on a train. We were hoping for better weather but it was still fun anyway. The town is cute and reminded me of a mini Santa Monica, pier and all. We laid on the beach that was made out of rocks for a few hours and then decided it was time to go home. It was one of those raining must stay in bed type days so we had a Julia Roberts movie marathon -- perfect cure for a gloomy day!

I will post more about my final week in London soon! I can't believe how fast it comes and goes..
